The popular South African Afrikaans-language television soap opera 7de Laan has come to an end after 23 years.

7de Laan was first broadcast on SABC 2 on April 4, 2000. It was created by Danie Odendaal and produced by Danie Odendaal Productions. The show was set in and around the fictional suburb of 7de Laan in Hillside, Johannesburg.
